A friend and I are starting to look for a Canadian moose hunt for 2007. Can anyone recommend a guide or outfitter. We are looking more at central or eastern Canada being from Ohio. Thanks in advance for any suggestions and help.

Did you mean 2008? Seems a tad late for this year.

Check out Mackenzie Mountain Outfitters. NWT has five or so in that area that will find you a big moose. Not in 2007, however.

I have a place in Quebec that may interest you. It is a 6 hour drive from Montreal, loaded with moose. I am leaving to hunt there on Oct 5th.

If you're willing to go to Northern BC (its out west from where you want to go), Fredlund Guide Service runs a good outfit with a heck of a moose population...

Check with Bird River Outfitters in Manitoba, lot's of moose and some of the biggest black bears i've ever seen come from that area. - dan
