I might be headed down to Vancouver next week for a business trip, which might allow me a free evening to check out a gunshop or two, anything worth visiting? __________________________________________________ The AR series of rounds, ridding the world of 7mm rem mags, one gun at a time.

There's a couple decent ones. The Vancouver guys here can point you in the right direction. Wish I'd known about your trip. I will be in Vanc on Thurs for the day only. Might have been able to plan my schedule to allow time to meet for a brew. Cheers, Canuck

Chris, My boss had asked last week if I could go down in the future and I said sure. Then this morning he asked about when I could go, and mon/tue just squezzes it in between before I head out for my deer hunt. I have a feeling if I fly down Sun night on a red-eye that I'll probably just crawl into bed mon night vs seeing the city. __________________________________________________ The AR series of rounds, ridding the world of 7mm rem mags, one gun at a time.

So, how about those gunshops! I also will be in Vancouver toward the end of the week and will have some time to do some browsing.

There are two that are worth going to, Reliable Gun, 604-874-4710, on Fraser St. and Italian Sports,604-254-7513 on Renfrew St. They are easy to get to and often have very neat goodies in the used section. I deal with both of them and have bought many guns from each of them; there is really nothing else in Vancouver, anymore.

I don't suppose it's possible for an American to buy a gun in one, and bring it back to the states without an inordinate amount of paperwork? Probably a good thing, as I shouldn't be buying another gun at the moment. __________________________________________________ The AR series of rounds, ridding the world of 7mm rem mags, one gun at a time.

Having been to Vancouver and back, I quess I owe you folks a report. I went to both stores while there last week. Both were easy to get to. I didn't spend a lot of time in each, but these are my general impressions. Reliable seem like your typical "hole in the wall" gunstore. They had the standard collection of hunting and shooting gear and a good selection of firearms, but nothing fancy. Hidden gem: a Remington 721 in 300 H&H Magnum in the consignment rack. Italian Sports seemed slightly more upscale, and some of the guns on display were high end. Obvious gem: a new Blaser R-93 in .300 Win Mag and a Blaser K-95 also in .300 Win Mag. Both pieces were higher than entry level and were very nicely engraved. All in all, a pleasant way to kill a couple of hours.

An American can get a Canadain PAL if they wish. Then they can buy all the guns they want. Exporting them to the USA could be a different matter, as there are severe restrictions on guns and ammo and parts going in and out of the USA now. 375 Ruger- The NEW KING of the .375's!!
