I hunted that area kast fall, but not with Nouchimi. I did stop for fuel there and I got to eyeball a few of the outpost camps near the road. The main camp looked decent and had a coffeshop. The outpost camps I saw were T 111 one story buildings farthur east and north on the Le Grande Hydro road system. Looked fine to me. The issue with the earlier hunt dates is whether the Caribou are down as far as the road yet. In Nov 2005 they didn't get close enough to hunt until the 22nd. No matter which route you take the last 385 KMs or so to Nouchimi's main camp is dirt road. Figure 6 hours. The James Bay highway is all paved two lane and is a pretty good road, but weather is always a variable. BD

I stayed at the outpost camps at least three times. That is 305A and 305B.We once had the whole place all to ourselves, and caribou were at our doorstep. We could not hunt there because that is 22a.You have showers, kitchen, and good heating.I no longer stay there because it is much more fun staying at the main camp with everyone else.My advice is to stay at main camp and take the package that includes meals. There is also more info on caribou location available here.
