For those coming from the USA to hunt out of Whitehorse, whats the best air travel route and airline to get to whitehorse?
I am coming from Minneapolis.

I'm no expert but I believe the standard route from where your at is via Edmonton.

Generally the outfitter will provide the travel directions. Ask them if your using one.

My recommendation would be to fly into Ottawa Canada and get on Air North then 5 to 6 hours later you are in Whitehorse.
Air north was voted the second best airline in the world after last Christmas, First I think was Korean Air. great planes, they love guns and ammo. Super service. They even feed you at no extra charge,
Website is www.flyairnorth.com

The Ottawa flight lands in Yellowknife then on to Whitehorse. Total time is under 7 hours.

I am using Bowhunting Safari Consultant, and will book through them.
Have it narrowed down to two, but I do not yet know their names, that's next step.

This year as in other years uo here. We went out on the 16 of September for 2 weeks. I called in the first moose on the 20 th. we did get two more one on the 22 and one on 24. Did not see much sign,, Then on the 26th there were moose running everywhere. But we were all tagged out. I think where we hunt in Yukon the last 10 days of September are best..for moose. I went out for an hour tonight to look for caribou but did not see any. I am thinking to spend Thursday and Friday out full days..

I flew to Vancouver and then onto Whitehorse without any issues. The one thing you should be aware of is that if you clear US customs in Canada but have a connecting flight in in the US, TSA may flag your rifle and want to see it when you transfer in the connecting city. In my case I had a long layover in Denver and took my brother to dinner. Meanwhile, TSA paged me and then finally cut the locks on my gun case.
