I went on a hunt with Skinner Creek last December and got a nice Lynx and Mountain Lion. I left both with Doug to take to his taxidermist to prep and ship- and have been fighting ever since to get them. Now I cant even get a response from the taxidermist. Does anyone know the appropriate authorities or anyone I can contact to try and get my cats back? The address I sent the check to is in Anaheim Lake and the guys name is Mike Witt. Thanks, Brad

whats the taxidermists business/shop name ive never personally heard of the name you mentioned, what does your outfitter have to say about this is he not helping you out at all with this since he recommended his guy to you.

Mike, Witt, is not a taxidermist just a guy who has prepared hides for shipping, got cities permits and then drove hides across the line to ship. this has been a disaster as the CITIES took 4 months last winter to get and delivery of the hides was delayed. Mike has promised a Christmas delivery but seems to lack any communication skills as he does not seem to get back to the affected hunters. My usual taxidermist had the same delays but had his hides showed by June. Brad I will get after Mike again and make sure he gives you firm dates. Thanks Doug- I know you have been trying, but it just isn't happening. He has given me timelines over and over and doesn't deliver. At this time I'm looking at someone up the ladder to contact. I have to imagine that someone in B.C. frowns on outfitters/taxidermists not delivering hides to hunters paying many thousands of dollars to come up there. Live and learn I guess.

I hear you Brad, the heat has been turned up a bunch on my end. The bottom line is he won't return my calls either at this point. The last i heard was a delivery in December when he had plans to head south. Tough lesson and a 33 year friendship out the window.
