I'm thinking of going on a hunt with a mate chasing Elk & Black Bear (maybe Grizzly but this depends on $).
Planning a 10 day hunt for late September 2014 with my mate more interested in Elk & myself in bear. We have a rough budget of $10,000 each,ex Vancouver.
I could/would spend more if a Grizzly trophy was substantially larger than what I could expect for a large Black Bear Trophy, but I also realise that hunting is hunting & nothing is guaranteed.
Any ideas of areas where populations of Elk & Bear are good. My mate & myself are also keen fishermen so any ideas regarding a combined hunting/fishing trip, or should we just concentrate on the 10 day hunt & leave the fishing as an add-on.
We would prefer a spot & stalk hunt on bear & wondered if this was possible to do on a 2 hunters 1 guide basis, or would we be better off with separate guides.
