An early reply, with better to follow no doubt. Eastern and central Canada are a little light on grizz, you'll have to look west and especially north to find one to hunt. Moose are almost everywhere outside of urban southern Ontario. I imagine a number of outfitters from a few provinces will be in touch soon. B.C. and the Yukon are the only places left where you can hunt grizzlies. Moose are pretty well everywhere.

Nunavut and NWT is another option for the tundra ones.

Nothing in central or eastern for sure on the Grizz. As mentioned the barren grizz in Nunavut. Best bet- do a combo hunt for moose and grizz in BC or Yukon. If not, Alaska.

If, you are going to hunt in Canada and want a trophy Grizzly, the best region is the BC coastal game management units, roughly from Salmon Inlet north to the Portland Canal and the river valleys that range back from this coast. The largest Grizzlies are on Kamchatka and the ABC Islands of Alaska, the Alaskan Penninsula and the area of BC just across from it. Very large specimens can be and are found on the BC coast and world record bears have been shot there in relatively recent years. There are LOTS of bears and your chances for a real bruiser are good, however, it is very tough country and you need to be in shape and able to shoot well under pressure. I have lived, worked and bushwhacked all through this region of BC and seen quite a few bears, while doing so. I do not know any of the GO outfits personally, but, there are some with good reps and you should check these carefully, as there are some who are not what they should be....as in most aspects of life. This, would be my choice, if I were in your position and I would call the GOABC head office in Surrey, BC to get a list of the GOs of that region. then, go from there. I don't know if you have ever seen or dealt with a Grizzly, so, I will just say that a rifle from a .30-06 to whatever larger cartridge you can handle well using a good controlled expansion bullet is what you need and a very sound choice is the .338WM with 250 Nosler Partitions. A .30-06 with 180/200 NPs is good and is best for anyone who is bothered by heavy recoil....better a 180-NP at 2700 in the lungs than a .375-300NP at 2600 in the belly......

I didn't think that non-residents could hunt the NWT for grizz. Forgot about Nunavut.
