Can anyone tell me what Provinces allow bear hunting with hounds? I know BC does, are there any others?

Thanks

i belive ontario dose but i would double check that....

it may be that hounds can only be used to track a wounded bear but not for the actuall hunting of said bear.

Thanks 700 Nitro.
Anybody else know for sure? I would like to do a spring hunt over hounds and BC is a long way to travel for me. Ontario or one of the other eastern provinces would be much easier.

You can hunt bears in Ontario with hounds. A licence is required for the each dog. The licence was around $15.00. There are very few outfitters offering these hunts as most people don't want to take the time. They want to sit over bait which is much easier. I use hounds to hunt deer. They will run bears but its a pile of work and hardly worth it.
