Got to shoot one of the Sarco 22 Hi-power conversions on Wednesday. They sell direct from Sarco for $189. on gunbroker for more.
From what I read they are made in Argentina where they make a Hi-power 9mm copy.

The unit is sort of like a Ruger Mk2 top.

Slide is one piece non-movable.
Bolt rides inside, 10rnd mag, slide stop works.
Barrel has a threaded lock ring (illegal in ca) to tighten the unit to the frame.

The manual states it will NOT work until broken in (after 200 rnds) and they were right.

Like most units it likes Hi-vel 22. I had some American Eagle Hi-vel lead 40gr. (1260fps).

Didn't really shoot it for accuracy. I might swap out the hammer spring for a lighter one if I was gonna leave it together for a while.

sorry. no pics... I'll try again tonight
