| That's certainly cheap. The question is how will it hold up under recoil and will it hold the adjustments. Laser sights are a pain to sight in because it is hard to hold the gun steady while you adjust the sights and, the adjustments are very fine ie. a very slight movement of the allen key will move the dot a lot. Just FWIW. BTW you probably won't be able to holster it! Peter.

Peter, take the pistol out of your hands and put it on the bench. This make adjusting the sight a lot easier and you can use both hands.

| Not sure what you mean Wink. On My Sig P220 I have the sights adjusted exactly the way I want. Now, to dial in the laser, I have to put the gun sights on the target, then holding the gun steady, I have to adjust the laser dot to point to the same spot on the target. I have to be holding the gun steady on the target to do this. Remember lasers don't have click adjustable adjustments, and, a little goes a long way! Peter.

| Peter, I wasn't really being serious, but then again I wasn't really sure how you were doing it. Now I understand. I suppose the solution would be to find a way to immobilize the pistol, but you've probably already found a method which works. What Laser do you use?

| Sorry Wink! I thought perhaps you had your tongue in your cheek, but I wasn't sure! To answer your question: I don't know! It's a unit I got from CDNN when I bought my Sig P220 from them. It is a combination light and laser so It's kinda cool. I am not sure about its practicability though! Merry Chrsitmas! Peter.

| You really can do it easily. Put the hangun in a vise or something similar and put out a target where the sights are aligned.....adjust the laser to point of aim. It really isn't that hard. Just get intuitive. Keith |

| I sometimes work with a friend that's an honest to god "stuntman" for the movies and one time I came along to be a "armorer" for their paintball guns that shoot the zircs that make bullets look like sparks. They wanted to make it more dramatic for the film and have "laser sights" so we got a bunch of dollar store laser pointers and I carefully gaffer taped them to the paintball guns and sighted them in by wiggling the pointers in the tape. Worked about as well as if we'd used 18 dollar "toys" and they only cost $3.99 I think. Looked good on film and helped some of the local crew put their sparking and dust "paintballs" in the right places.
The things a man does to make a buck...sure can lead in some odd places in gunnyland. |
