Just picked up a brand new Ruger Blackhawk Bisley in .45 Colt over the holidays, and for $520 (Canadian!) no less. Wonderfuly accurate and the bisley style grip tunes that 45 into the recoil of a .22. A simple pleasure to shoot. But that's not why I'm here.
I like the .45 Colt. More so, I like the .45 bullet, it just feels good. So now I got my sights set on a Springfield 1911, maybe a loaded, but I like the rugged characteristics of the Mil- Spec and it would match my Sprfld. M1 Garand NM nicely. Does anyone know a Canadian retailer that would give me a square deal on one of these? Everywhere I go, the asking price is $300- $500 more than is either bit reasonable. What's going on here?!
