I am familiar with Hamilton Bowen but am not certain of any others. Work would be done on a Ruger Redhawk, including action/trigger work and shortening the barrel.
Who else should be considered?

I am surprised that no one responded to this seemingly well put question. I am sure there are many well qualified men in this field.

My personal experience is limited to Bowen and I have been more than satisfied with the quality of his work, and the service that stands behind it

Try Dave Clements. He converted my old .357 Blackhawk to .44 Special.

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR.

I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.
