I'm tracking down a Sig 220 ST (stainless) in 45 acp. I'd appreciate reading feedback on those who have shot a Sig 220. Likes. dislikes? Accuracy (ie groups size off a rest at 25 or 50 yards). Favorite loads? Does it handle truncated bullets ok? Semi-wad cutters? Issues with factory recoil spring (what pound spring do you use). Is there a leather holster that has a CLOSED/sewn muzzle for the Sig 220? Any specific comments about the stainless 220? Thanks in advance.

I own a P220 American and had a P220 European. Both are/were very accurate and a pleasure to shoot. Absolutely reliable with every type of bullet, including 185 gr. truncated cone semi-wadcutters. I could keep a 3" group at 25 yards offhand on my good days but am convinced the pistol will do better. I would never discourage anyone from owning a P220. "I ask, sir, what is the Militia? me too - i've had a 220 for quite a few years and i don't believe i've ever had a malfunction. accuracy is right up there and it's quite comfortable in the hand.

I have one, very accurate a former USMC armorer Police officer told me they're very durable & accurate to 50 meters but they don't like lead bullets just like the Glock.

I have had one since Christmas and it shoots right along with my Hardball 1911. I was impressed. Reliable with everything I have fed it so far. Haven't tried lead. It is a different feel than my usual 1911s. However I find it IMHO fitting my hand better than a buddies Glock 45. DA trigger is a little strange at first, but it is managable.
