Gents!

I have been looking for a tactical holster for my sig p210. Safariland says that they do not have any.

Bianchi have a universal holster that is said to accomodate the p210, the UM92I. This holster can be fitted with a M1430 adapter for the MOLLE system and thus also be fitted to all MOLLE reciever plates like the Safariland 6004-18.

So my thought was to get the bianchi holster with adaptor fork and then the safariland leg shroud with receiver plate and join these for a leg rig. The bianchi leg setup seems a bit flimsy compared to the safariland solution.

Is this doable or is the lady in customer service at safariland right when she says that safariland parts only fit safariland products?

Sincerely

Daniel

If you've got all this stuff in front of you in a store, I'd put it all together and see if it works. If you are not buying in person, I'd go another route. Even though Bianchi and Safariland are owned by the same company, I don't think alot is interchangable...marketing you know Mad

What about a Blackhawk Serpa? I've no experience with them, just suggesting.

Try a "google" search for you pistol and see what you get.

Not surprised. There are not too many P210's around, and even fewer used for IPSC or IDPA I should imagine! Having said that, Safariland used to make an open front holster for IPSC that gripped a 1911 type gun by the trigger guard. You might try that. They made two models for with/without comp. The comp model might be what you want.

Gents!

Thanks for the replies!
I have also guessed that the answer from the sales department had more to do with marketing than with reality.

I am awaiting an answer from the customercare.ca@baesystems.com
american sales department as the international sales department said that bianchi fits bianchi and nothing else.
I am also awaiting answer from blackhawk.

Mil-spec and standards are made to fit. A 5.56 NATO / 223Rem rifle will not accomodate a 7,62 NATO / 308Win cartridge since those are of different standards. I would however expect that a 5.56 rifle likes to be fed with 5.56 ammo. By the same line of reasoning I would expect that a "male" molle part will fit into a "female" molle part.

Especially when it is said that part "15" fits into part "18"...

Something that is approved to be used within NATO would benefit from beeing compatible regardless if the parts come from norway, denmark or usa... and truly regardless of what the marketing division states...
As a matter of fact, the safariland parts are more expensive than the bianchi parts, and I would rather sell an item for $100 than for $50 if I was given the opportunity...

Unfortunately I do not have access to anything other than the gun here. I have to order things over the pond and hope for the best.
Before I burn $300 on un-seen items I would like to do my background check. The p210 might be unusal in usa but it is quite common in northern europe. However, few shooters have realised the benefits of having it in a holster instead of in a plastic box.

With a good tactical rig the p210 would probably gain a lot more popularity in other than precision disciplines too.

Sincerely

Daniel

Doubtful due to the lack of magazine capacity!
Why not contact Prezine Inc in Jacksonville, FL? Look 'em up on the web or PM me. They make the holsters for Safariland.

Gents!
Thanks for Your replies!

This monday I found a dealer in neighbouring Denmark who had a product I promptly bought. It arrived yesterday and I took it to the range to test it. All in all it seems good, but I will exchange the velcro belt strap with a climbing strap and a double D-ring holder. Velcro is too noisy and abrades the belt as well.
If I understand the holster manufacturer correctly the holster is a retention 4 level with some kind of unique locking system.
But, it seems to me that ALL manufacturers have a "unique -best-in-the-world-concept". :-P

Anyway the new holster is way better and safer than the old flimsy universal leather holster I had before.

I will try to enclose a picture of the rig as it looks right now.

I did not know that the leg panel had attachment options. So now I would like to attach the Led Lenser L7 flashlight on the leg panel. I have not found a suitable holster for it yet.

Unfortunately the only mag holders I can find for single stack 9mm are blackhawks which require a picatinny rail, and there is some kind of export restriction on picatinny rails now. A simple 5" rail cost $ 100 here in Sweden now. The price for two 5" rails on opticsplanet.com is $ 14...

Is there any other way to mount accessories than picatinny on this leg panel?

Sincerely

Daniel

Looks like any type of belt loop would fit around the leg straps. I would carry my magazines on the off side from the pistol...in this case the left side. Will 1911 single stack magazine pouches work for your magazines? Might be a little too wide though...maybe look for something made for the single stack Smith and Wesson model 39?
