Can someone help me understand the difference between the Colt revolvers in 44 mag named anaconda, grizzly, and Kodiak? I have seen listings of all in stainless w various bbl lengths. Curious as to what the differences between these models are. Thanks in advance for your insights.

The Grizzly was not a .44 Magnum but a .357 Magnum. It was from the Colt Custom Shop and consisted of a King Cobra frame, a ported 6" Python-like barrel, and a non-fluted cylinder. All were made, I believe, in stainless steel. The Kodiak I am not sure of. NRA Life Member DRSS-Claflin Chapter Mannlicher Collectors Assn KCCA IAA

The Kodiak and Grizzly were both custom shop guns. The Kodiak was based on the Anaconda and the Grizzly on the Python. There were more Kodiaks made (2,000) if I remember correctly. Fewer Grizzlies were made. I had a Kodiak. They are ported barrels and I didn't like it for that reason and sold it back in the 90's for $500. Now I see them listed for 5 grand. I guess I should have kept that one
