new 1911 in 22

reading the gunlist last nite and there is a chippa firearms outfit that is making a 1911 clone but in 22. by the sounds of the article its a pretty good piece especially for MSRP of 299. website is www.1911-22.com

shot one the other day. Its not fit and finished like a kimber or colt but it ran a 100 percent and shot well and i guess for 300 bucks thats more then i expected.

Sounds much less expensive than an Ace conversion kit for a colt.

I think your refering to the Chiappa...I handled one and it seemed to be a good quality,inexpensive .22

Were I to buy one, and I may well, the one to obtain is the one with the adjustable trigger. I shot the one with the standard trigger and did not
care for it.
