Awhile back I went to a Glock Model 48 for "uniformed" carry at the shooting range where I work part time. It's a very easy Glock to like with its slender frame and grip, but the OEM capacity is 10 rounds of 9. Shield Arms looked at that magazine and saw the potential for additional capacity if Glock's polymer coating were removed, and so they designed a 15-rounder of the same height and width, and had Check-Mate manufacture it for them. I just bought three along with their recommended aluminum magazine catch, and the promise is fulfilled. Workmanship is excellent, and the magazines work great so far, although I am using a loader to get those last three or four rounds in. If you have a 43 or a 48, give these magazines a try.

There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t.
