I got my first Colt SAA this past week.It is a 3erd Generation with a 4.75 inch barrel with CCH frame.I have never felt this way about a gun.The feel of it is perfect and it shoots like a dream even with my handloads.I think I just might be in love.

May God be with you.

I have a 3rd gen. in .357mag/4.75" bbl. I'm not sure I'm in love but it is a classy. well made piece.

I have had a New Frontier in 44 Special for quite a while. It shoots quite well but the trigger guard hits my other finger(s) even with moderate loads.

Its beautiful piece but it has a 6.5" barrel. I would rather have a shorter barrel with that gun. The old Ruger Blackhawk I have had in .45 Colt fits me better.

A couple of years ago I was at the Austin gun show + a guy had 2-1st.gen. W/4.75" in 45 LC that he'd picked up in an estate sale.I guess he never really ckecked them over very well.I was considering buying one of them then noticed that they had consecutive ser.#'s.I asked what he wanted forthe pair (of course) + he said if I took them both I could have them for $1200.00.Well,after I bought them I sent them off to Dan Chesiak in Hartford to install Ivory grips.I highly recommend the look + feel of real ivory. One of my sons was fighting over in the sandbox at the time + in my communication with him I told him I would'nt shoot them until he came home.He did + we did.A real joy in more ways than one.
