My wife just picked out a 9mm AR 24. She had looked at a Berreta 93 and a few SIGs, and this was the one that fit her the best. She has put about a 100 rounds through it, and so far I am impressed with the accuracy. My bride is fairly new to pistol shooting, but off a bench it groups very nicely at 25 yards (about 1.5 inches). Not bad for a 4" barrel. Does anyone here have one? I ask because while this is my brides gun, I have the feeling that the care and feeding of it will become my responsibility. So I want to know of any issues that are known for this pistol.

Well, since no one here replied to this, I will post how the AR 24 handled in the first time at the range. First of all, my wife got the compact (4") version. Pretty solid, and heavy enough that it might be a bit much for CC, but fits her hands just right. One big surprise was that it will fit well in my gorrilla hands! We put 100 rounds through the first day at the range. Overall I was very happy with the pistol! It functioned flawlessly, and there were no jams or missfeeds. At 25 yards, it shot with in 4" from a standing position (my wife did most of the shooting, and is not quite used to handguns yet), but I suspect it is probably capable of smaller groups. It did shoot 6 inches low, but that was without adjusting the sight. The first 100 rounds were more for my bride to get familar with the feel of the gun, and to practice her holds. Overall, I am impressed with this pistol. I know that it is a Turkish import, and fairly new in the US, but it functioned perfectly. My Dad's XD 40 had more issues in the first break in period than the AR 24.

NEjack, speaking personally, I have never heard of the AR24. Can you enlighten me? Pictures? Thanks, Peter. Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright, that God may love thee. It is a Turkish pistol that Armalite just started importing. I don't know how to do pics, but on the Armalite website they have a few http://www.armalite.com/Categories2.aspx?Category=2ad82...a8-a102-a72c1eba187e
