I just fell in love with a Browning (Made in Belgium, assembled in Portugal) Hi Power in 40 S&W. I've owned several 40's, but I've not heard much on how it handles in the Hi Power. Does anyone have any experience with the Hi Power in 40 S&W?

I understand Cylinder & Slide are really good at slicking up a Browning: http://www.cylinder-slide.com/index.php?app=ccp0&ns=catshow&ref=CP122 _________________________________ AR, where the hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history become the nattering nabobs of negativisim.

The HP 40 is beefed up considerably when compared to the standard HP to handle the additional pressure of the 40 S&W cartridge. This does adversely affect the handling and "feel" to an extent. I also find the recoil, particularly with 180gr loads, to be quite "snappy" compared to other pistols chambered in 40 S&W. Nonetheless, it retains the positive design aspects of the HP. A bit of trigger work is usually required as per butchloc's posting, as on any HP. "Personal is not the same as important", Corporal Carrot, Men at Arms
