Once upon a time I had some hard polygodknowswhat finger grooved grips on a couple of revolvers. The company was first Rogers Grip and then Safariland. I let the S&W M-29 go in a trade but kept the Ruger Security Six.

While digging around in the safe I picked up the Ruger the other day and remembered why I liked those grips, they feel very "right".

Does anyone know if these are still being made?

TIA

Rick

I recall seeing them in a Brownells catalogue a few years ago. You might check their website.

Boxhead,

I've searched their website for "Rogers" , "Safariland" and sorted thru all the pistol grips listed.

I'm coming to believe they're extinct. Frowner

Rogers was bought by Safariland years ago and the hard grips went away some time after that. When I first started shooting competitively in 1982 they were very popular. There was a 1911 version also that was all the rage for a while. Hogue has a rubber grip that is almost the same profile.

Peter,
I've still got the set on the Security Six, but I've got a round butt S&W N frame I'd like to try some on. They probably quit making them before the round butt option was available.

Rob,
I saw the Hogue grips on Brownell's website and may get a set.

Thank you gents,

Rick

By the way Rick, You are showing your age a little with that question Smiler I remember when we were using Rogers holsters too! That was pre-Safariland using laminate holsters.
