I've always wanted a James Bond pistol but the real deal is a little out of my reach. However in looking at some of the gun auction sites I've found Interarm/wathlers and Bersa/Walters and some others I can't remember for less than half the price of the real deal. Are they any good ? My wife needs one when she goes on nursing calls way out in the boonies.Oh What about a Tarus ?

if you take a quick look at shotgun news or gun list there are some walter PP's available in 32. I got one a few months ago, but they were only available for a couple of month. mine was made in the 1980's came in a box with spare clip in probably 98% condition. I believe they are selling for $269

The FEGs from Hungary are PP/PPK/PPKs series clones. You may have to look harder to find one, but the triggers are much better and many believe they get a better gun for almost half the price! Wink

I have a Bersa Thunder 380. I don't think it is a direct knock-off. Pretty good pistol and the price is excellent.

I have had a little FEG PPK Clone in 9mm Makarov. It is very accurate and I have never had a problem with it. I've used it twice in range qualification for my concealed carry license. I had one range instructor look at my pistol and remark "piece of crap". I subsequently shot a remarkable group qualifying. When he came by to check my performance I commented "not bad for a piece of crap, huh?" He agreed and apologized. I bought mine at a gun show in Houston about ten years ago for about $80 with a spare mag. It is military issue in a leather holster with some Hungarian guy's name inked on the inside of the holster flap.

there are several knock-offs, take down between bersa thunder and walther ppk are different, probably a little easier on the bersa. bersa is definately lighter, but the walther is a walther. nothin more to say.

As for the S&W/Walther PPK/S 380 I own, my wife doesn't like the metal frame around the grips. She says it stings so I spent half as much and bought a P95 Ruger. She loves it even though it is much bigger. I'm happy I got my 007 back.

I've never owned one,but I've known several people that's had the Bersa's and all have been happy with them.I've shot a few and they always did fine.I would stay away from the EAA versions.A freind of mine bought two and his wife couldn't even pull off one round because the trigger was so heavy.I shot one of them and it was honestly the worst trigger on a handgun I ever tried.

The wife has had a PPK/S in 380 and know carries a Bersa Thunder and loves it. Weight was the deal breaker on the PPK. The bersa ate about 200 rounds of ball and 50 Silver Tips with out a hitch.
The only thing I have heard about the Bersa is that the either work or they don't. If you get a good one it is a real good one.

If you can find one of the above mentioned Model PP's in .32 caliber, you'll have the real deal for under $300.

I paid about $265 for mine. It is in amazingly good condition, essentially new actually. Very slight holster wear at the muzzle and spotless otherwise. It shoots very well too and the .32 cartridge is easy for anyone to handle.

little off topic but the tomcat inox is a pretty nice little gun, at least in my opinion. shoots the .32, my wife has no problem shooting it and she normally won't fire anything bigger than a .22

I agree on the Tomcat. My wife squeezed off the first round and said "WOW". A box and a half later and she loves it.
