Put a revolver in the hands of Hamilton Bowen, with the help of Doug Turnbull for color case hardening, and Paul Persinger for grips, and this is what you get back......

I call him "El Furtivo"

best was 1 7/8" @ 25 yards with 3.2 grains of W231, under 100 grain Magnus RNFPs.

That is just cool! I keep thinking about the same pistol, with the Bisley grip frame.

Rich

thanks for the pictures.

Nice overall but the grips are pretty plain for a custom job. I had factory grips that looked better. If your happy with them thats what counts, but for me I like something with figure popping out at me. Sets the stage so-to-speak. CLC Custom Grips has done a bunch for me and they turn out very nice.

Very nicely done, the color case hardening is stunning. Can you provide a bit of information on what work was performed by Hamilton Bowen? I'm sure the work was first rate.

Have you picked out a holster to go with it?

No holster as yet. Bowen's work:

Tune and install Bowen sights front and rear; trigger tune; reassembly with Loc-tite to keep screws tight; BCA oversize locking base pin installed; forcing cone checked and recut, as needed; cylinder to rotate in both directions; Bisley hammer installed; Turnbull color case hardened frame; Engrave grip back strap “El Furtivo” and color coat.

Thanks for the information, nice choice of options and of course Hamilton Bowen's work is excellent. Can't get over how nice the color case hardened frame looks. An heirloom revolver to be sure.
