I see some pistols rigged with electronic sights such as Aimpoint and the like. Do these sights help with accuracy and would they work for a 454 Casull on either a Ruger revolver or a 500 S&W revolver? Which electronic sight product would you recommend? Regards, AIU

I assume by electronic sights you mean items like a Red Dot sight? I have one on my FA 475 Linebaugh and love it. Essential for accuracy at longer ranges IMHO. Mine is an UltraDot. More expensive but better for high recoiling guns. Many now favor the 'reflex" type red dot sight but I do not own one. There are many red dot sights available quite cheaply on eBay. These should be perfectly adequate for a 22RF but, for high recoiling guns, pay for quality and make sure they are securely mounted. Added: You might want to post this on the Handgun Hunting Forum. Here is a picture of mine: http://forums.accuratereloadin...211009671#3211009671 Peter. Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright, that God may love thee. Like Peter, I also have an UltraDot 30mm red dot on my revolver, a Super Redhawk in .480 Ruger.

I use a trijicon RMR on my FA 454 casull No issues and I shoot better with it. For old eyes it is better than irons and a scope is too dim at last legal light.
