I just bought a sig 1911-22with a dark od finish. I don't like the grips so i'll make a pair from buckeye burl. buckeye burl is a multi colored green-brown=yellow=white mix a sort of a camo thing when finished really matching the dark od well. But the problem arise of where to put this when not being used.
If i put with the collection of s&w revolvers, they will probably throw it out on the floor.mixing a camo 1911 with classic revolvers is almost as big a no no as putting a gluck or m&pee with them. that just won't work
If i put it in the auto drawer i think the colts, para's, springfields sigs will accept it alright, but the s&w 945 and 952 may take exception, leave alone the old original model 39.
Now i know some of you don't think this is a problem, but have you ever seen the mess it makes on the floor when you introduce a blaser to a cabinet full of real rifles? let me tell you it isn't pretty. I mean putting a POS blaser next to classic rifles really makes a mess out of the blaser on the floor,(not to even think that they aren't a mess to start with barely even to be named a rifle) even worse than if if you would have put a camo'd savage next to them.
I'm really worried about the snotty attitude of the smiths - especially the old mod 41efs.
The sig should really be kinda neat but where do you guys think i should keep it

Butch, that's a very fine question.

Given that the sig is camo, it obviously is either a mall ninja or a weekend warrior.

It obviously would not have the pony to get in the door past the porter, so you need to sneak it in by the service entrance.

Tell the smiths that it only gets to shoot the crappy Remington golden bullet stuff to save them from that indignity...

It belongs hanging by its trigger guard on a nail in the back.

Or you could just give it to someone whose guns are too tired to complain...
