I saw last night on Texas Gun Trader that a guy has a 1898 mfg. Peacemaker in 45 LC w/ ivory grips + a holster rig for $2500.00. I can't afford it but I thought I would pass along the info. His # is 512-740-2197. I was sorely tempted but reality kicked in.

For sure how many Blackhawks with some custom trigger work could one buy for that money.

How true. I have a custom-built Keith #5 on a super Blackhawk frame w/ ivories that I just paid $1500.00 for the work + I supplied the frame. This was about 18 years ago though. I do have a 1926 Colt New Service in 45 LC that lists in the blue book for $3500.00, but I'll never get that. The blue book is a book of suggestions, not what the market will bear.
