The question is what can anyone tell me about this pistol. It was a war trophy which went to the nephew of the "taker." Said nephew is now 76 and has had it since the mid 1950's. The bore is very good and little wear is shown from functioning. All matching, and a few scuffs from the original transaction ( ) Markings on the magazine are P.08 and proof over 37 (twice on the left side and fxo From a non'historical perspective this nephew is a man who is a retired LEO, by the name of Harry who was a Metro Det Lt formerly assigned to bank robbery. The Harry known as Dirty Harry took his picture with this nephew Harry back when the nephew had some unpleasant business at a bank, and again on a bus. The rest is the history aforementioned. Damn shame the handgun pictured above isn't a S&W Model 29! Member NRA, SCI- Life #358 28+ years now! DRSS, double owner-shooter since 1983, O/U .30-06 Browning Continental set. | ||
