I don't understand the pricing. K guns are going for around $9K, so, in theory anyway, one could buy 2 complete guns for $18K or so. You don't get the nice case of course, and I don't know how common the 30.06 caliber is in a SxS K gun. I own a K gun in 500/416 and love it! Just my 2 cents, Peter. Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright, that God may love thee. Speak the truth always, even if it leads to your death. Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong;

Yes, that one has been there for some time. Peter is probably right...it's a regular grade and in an non-traditional caliber, and priced pretty high.

I agree. I also own one. Just thought it was a neat combo.

Larry, the 500/416 might be non-traditional, but getting 416 Rigby ballistics in a flanged DR cartridge is a great concept. I don't know why it hasn't been more popular....go figure.

Biebs I agree. I get MOA accuracy with Barnes 300 gr and 400 gr bullets and the 300 grain are doing 2450 FPS Larry

It is just a personal thing with me, but I have never been able to warm up to any of the .416 cartridges, and certainly not a 30-06 in a double rifle! Even if it were a fine combination, I like Peter, do not understand the pricing, when you can buy two rifles for about the same price! ........................Not for me! .......................................................................... ....Mac >>>===(x)===> MacD37, ...and DUGABOY1 DRSS Charter member "If I die today, I've had a life well spent, for I've been to see the Elephant, and smelled the smoke of Africa!"~ME 1982 Hands of Old Elmer Keith
