The DOCTOR seems to be the most popular from what I see here on AR. I have one for my DR's and I'm very happy with it.

I have a Fastfire on my 450/400 3 inch. I have a Truglow on my AR. For the money you can try the Truglow and get something else if it doesn't work.

Big Will
Suggest you consider the Doctor Optik 3.5 moa red dot on a removable mount. Batteries last pretty well.
If you don't want to deal with batteries then the Trijicon RMR is the way to go. They have a red dot of about the same size. The smallest orange dot Trijicon has is 7 moa which is fine up to 100yds. The smaller dots will easily go out to 200yds with good accuracy.
You did not mention what caliber double, but it makes a difference. Small size, light weight and Quality is the way to go.
