Some of the very best doubles made in Europe. I have held 2 different P&V SXS rifles and both were excellent-- but both were best grade detach sidelocks.

I have a 9.3 Victoria M which I had restocked since it had a very German style stock and did not fit well. It is wonderfully accurate and I have hunted deer and black bear with it. I am planning on taking it to Africa in 2010. Mine is a fine rifle.

If you find one at a good price, you won't be disappointed. Perugini Visini, LeBeau Couralley, Marcel Thys...great European DRs.

I have one in 9.3x74R a box lock with ejectors and topped with a Swarovski Nova 1.1-4 (1") scope in claw mounts. Very nice and accurate rifle.

I had some fits trying to get it to shoot as well as the regulation targets indicated because it was regulated with an ammo and bullet combination not available in the USA. Can't even find the bullets for reloading.

Now that I have that sorted out with different bullets, it shoots great.

The one thing to watch is the ejectors. They are strong. I wouldn't want a spent cartridge to hit me in the face.....You might put your eye out!
