+1

It’s a beauty, like the color/pattern of the wood.

Beretta682EThe wood sealed the deal for me.
Original stock length was 1/2 inch short for me according to Jerome's measurement. Got a inch leather pad to replace the original thinner rubber pad.
The gun with the new pad fits perfectly.
Was originally thinking of getting a bespoke gun and Ken said - you will never pay up for wood this good. And he was/is 100 percent on the money.
I am very glad I got the gun I did, in caliber I did (not knowing anything of the caliber till the Admiral/subsalor74 educate me) and with wood and one inch leather pad.
Hopefully ammo comes in tomorrow with a range report to follow soon.

Glad to be of service Mike! I really like helping spend other people's money, especially when it is on a drop dead gorgeous double rifle. I look forward to hearing your range reports......and welcome to the double rifle brotherhood.

Beretta682EHad lunch with a AR member who also owns a VC double rifle (500 NE).
Get home and there is a box from Midway USA - the ammo for 450-400 has arrived.
Drive over to the range and set up on the plinking range - 25 yards.
Shoot the double rifle 10 times - 5x2.
The recoil was very mild. I did not feel it at all. After shooting the double rifle - I shot a few 12 gauge slugs from a Benelli M4. The recoil was far more significant with the Benelli.
First set of rounds from the VC were to get a feel for the gun - it fits me perfectly.
Shot a few paper targets. Was a ton of fun. I was shooting off hand without any sticks.
Now i need to learn how to reload - at $5 a shot this could become a very expensive hobby.

CCMDocNice shooting Beretta

Beautiful to look at...
Deadly accurate ...
Perfect combination

Only thing I'm sorry about is that it's not mine!
Better start ordering reloading equipment and components - there is no cure, only regular "fixes" for double addiction.

Beautiful rifle. Grew up shooting a 450/400 Farquharson (but a 3 1/4"...60 grns Cordite, 400 grns bullet). I think I was 16 when I shot it first...and you are right...shot guns kick a lot more
