My first double rifle comes in tomorrow.

VC 450-400 - left hand

Purchase was a spur of the moment decision at DSC with little help from the Admiral (sub sailor 74) and a great AR dinner conversation with Sam Rose. Also Ken and Jerome were very helpful.

I join the club tomorrow

My first double riffle arrives in ~7 months.

Also a VC in 450/400.

It's taken 5 agonizong years to hide enough $ from my wife to get to the point of placing an order. It's been a pleasure to work with Ken and Jerome over the last several years.

Congratulations; I always like to open a new DR. You chose a great caliber as well and one that is actually fun to shoot more than a few rounds with. (For those who like to shoot 500 Nitros more than 15 rounds at a time, please no hate mail).

And one more for Sam! I am surprised he didn't persuade you to go for a 500 NE! Big Grin

I am sure you will have great fun with it. The 450/400 in any configuration is easy to shoot well, based on my limited experience!

My "Big Day" was delayed.

Either the delivery did not get to my FFL or more likely my FFL dealer was jammed up with people transferring guns (they got 40 boxes in today).

And so I wait.

Beretta:
Delayed--nonsense. Your FFL may have had 40 boxes that day but your double rifle should be ahead of all the black guns he is working on. Tell him the AR forums said so.
Can't wait to see pics of your treasure.

The double rifle was delivered at 12:33 to the ffl and signed for.

Got to go pick it up - not got a call yet from ffl as I guess they got another 40 boxes of ar rifles.

I will go over after the markets close at 4 pm and ask them to dig it out from a sea of at rifles.
