Good day folks.

I own a merkel 141ae in 9.3x74R.

I would like a second set of barrels in a 7mm.

I have emailed merkel de three times in the last six months regarding having a second set of barrels fitted to my gun with no response.

Does anyone have an email address for Merkel that they get a response?

I would have expected better from merkel.

Kind regards,

Max

No politician who supports gun control should recieve armed protection paid for by those he is trying to disarm.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways-scotch in one hand-Chocolate in the other-body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WHOO-HOO, WHAT A RIDE!!"

Keep in mind even if they agree to fit a second set of barrels will will have to get a export license from the Commerce Dept as well as a import permit from ATF to get it back in the country. Then you will have customs brokers and airlines, & a dealer to deal with. As a rule of thumb this may cost you 50% of a new gun before you are finished. You might be better of ordering a new gun in 7x65R or ordering a new gun with a optional set of barrels (if the mfg & importer offers this as a option). Good luck

Ah hell, never thought about that.

I am in Canada. Our laws are stupid regarding importing firearm related products.

Still, I’d like to find out what it would cost to have a second set of barrels fitted.

Thanks for your response.

Kind regards,
Max

To be honest just buy a separate rifle in the cartridge you want.

You will most likely find it is lighter being a 7mm and balances better than another set of barrels on the 9.3.

That way your gun bearer carries the rifle you are not using at the time but it is ready for whatever you need Cool

I say this as I have a H&H double 500/450 3 1/4” ejector with a set of 375 Flanged Mag barrels by H&H, lord knows what that cost, and whilst handy and balances well the 375 could be a lot lighter, especially as it has a detachable scope.

Just my two bobs worth.

Happy hunting!
