The last photo is of Dave and his son with the Bison taken with his 404 Jeffrey.

Antlers:

It's a beavertail forearm. I tried to order a splinter forearm but it is not an option on a Chapuis. It does have a flip up night sight and one standing and three folding rear sights. Dale Nygaard treated me very well. It is a very well done solid rifle, shoots well and represents a very good value in a double and it only took about four months from order to delivery. I didn't show a picture of the other sideplate. It has two buffalo engraved on the other side.

Dave, Nice rifle and even though I like splinter forend also you will like the Chapuis beavertail. It is very thin and will help keep your fingers from burning.

Congratulations on very nice rifle in a classic caliber.

Is that a palm swell on the pistol grip or is it just a shadow in the photo?
