Just got word from Dale Nygaard that my Chapuis flanged .375 is here. Put the final payment in the mail to him this afternoon. I should have it next week. Build took about four months. I'm excited Big Grin

Good for you, Dave. Great caliber with more uses than the typical DR caliber.

Good show. With that Picatinney Rail, he can mount some of those "tac-ti-cool" high intensity Surefire lights and lasers as well!! Whistling

You guys are just mean.... LOLOLOL

I don't know how to post pictures but I will take some pictures when I get the gun and one of you guys can post them for me.

Magnum Hunter1, I wouldn't be surprised it Hornady starts turning out ammo and brass. I talked to Mitch and I know they are getting a lot of requests for it.

Jon, just got back from the med center in Omaha. Another damn surgery coming up in July. Damn I am getting so tired.

Dave,

Biebs idea of posting pictures is to tape them to the monitor and ask:

"Can you see it now?"

Antlers, it's Chapuis AGEX Jungle with sideplates and such. I am thinking it will come in at something just over nine pounds but I will take it out to the UPS store when it gets here and we'll see.

Todd, I'll get some pictures to you.

Congratulations Dave! The 375 Flanged magnum makes one of the most versatile double rifles one can own! Chapuis rifles are very accurate as a rule as well. Very good choices all around!

I know what you mean about being in the doghouse! My wife is really good about my guns and hunts and almost never says anything about the money, unless she needs to dump it on the table when loosing an argument ... I mean discussion!

She gave me a little guff a couple of weeks ago over the 500NE VC I'm having built. Not bad, but just enough to remind me of my place! Then yesterday, while I was loading some 577NE rounds, I mentioned it was for the gun that Aaron used in one of his videos. Suddenly the light bulb went on that two rifles are on their way to the Williams homestead!

The only thing that saved me was it being Father's Day. It will be a miracle if I survive the day today. Haven't heard anything yet, but the day is early!!

Enjoy that new rifle Dave! Send me some pics and I'll post them for you!

Todd - this brings back way too many memories of my own household! I think my wife has gotten numb about the rifles I buy since I retired from the Navy. I always ask her if there is something she wants that she doesn't have.....when she answers "no", I then ask what the problem is. So she has mostly just stopped asking. She DID notice when I got a new gun safe however. I did some serious "splaining" that day!

I picked it up yesterday. Gosh, it is just extraordinary, almost to pretty to shoot. Came with a really nice canvas and leather case as well and the regulation target is perfect. I WILL get some pictures up as soon as I can. I have to use my wife's camera and this can be a bit tricky. Big Grin

Is operating the wife's camera the tricky part? bewildered

Or is the gloating over the new rifle in front of the wife by using HER camera to imortalize the new addition to the arsenal at the expense of her having to forego some, as of yet, undisclosed desire or "thingofamajigg", the tricky part? sofa

Actually, for me, they would both apply! hilbily
