Any of you know what the lead time is for a Searcy (just the plain PH version)?

I'd email or call Butch.

Why don't you call Butch and ask him?

I can do that - Just figured you all would know and figured others were wondering the same. His might be my once in a lifetime double. Maybe a 450-400 or something similar… If his lead-time were long enough, I might be able to swing it (saving up and all).

JDA, I'm sure Butch would take all the time you want while you saved up. Go for it!

If I call that number it will cost a lot of money.

There are makers with shorter and longer wait times.
Spending money on a double rifle built for you, and
to your dimensions, is a gift to yourself beyond compare...

Correct bullet placement, combined with the required depth of bullet penetration, results in an anchored animal...

It's been over a week.

Have you dropped a dime and asked yet?

I already have mine but I'm curious too.

No - I'm going to give him a call next week. I'm working a deal on another DR (which would drain my Searcy fund)... I'm going to see how that shakes out and if it doesn't, I'll bug Butch.

JDA,
How did your return go with the other double?

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Hey Snow - Went good. He sent me a project rifle and gave me cash for my trades. I believe I ended up on the right side of the deal, even considering all the shipping and inconvenience I went through.

The proof will be when/if he re-lists it - I'm hoping he puts an accurate description up so that people know what the are getting.

All good bro!
