After being Blaser enthusiast for a long time, I went off the reservation today and bought a Merkel B3 in 9.3x74. I'll post pictures when it gets here.

Jeff, was that from Guns of the South? I saw he reduced them by $500. I had one in 30-06, but the 9.3x74R is the one to have. Great little double-carbines!

Yes, it's from Guns of the South, and the gunbroker price ISN'T in stone. Wink

Also, he doesn't have scope mounts, but I bought an Innomount off Ebay for the B3 that fits a Swarovski rail scope.

I am not familiar with the B3 Merkel double rifle! Anyone have a picture? I checked the Merkel website and see no mention of the B3 rifle , only a B3 sight base!

I'm pretty heavily vested in Blasers (R93 Pro, BBF97, and a S2), but I've never had any trouble selling Blaser stuff either.

I think the B3 is going to be a fun gun to exterminate pigs with.

Mac, why on earth would you assume ANYTHING with the name Blaser on it would be a "proper" rifle of any type, regardless of the fact this one's barrels are 90 degrees out of alignment. Maybe there is something to that OSR thing after all. Something seriously bad happened to this one.

DANG Biebs, that is one very nice stick of wood on that rifle.

Jeff, you will really like the 9,3x74R calibre. I have killed a lot of game with the 9,3x74R, including bears, giraffe, cape buffalo, and elephant.
