The only brass in this caliber I've used is Horneber and it is outstanding quality. He sells it with the "500 BPE" headstamp. Not cheap though.

Which raises an interesting question...
is bpe the proper headstamp? shouldn't it read 500 express, as that what they were called before the new, nitro loads, were called nitro express?

No. You're right 500 Express would be better, but I think BPE is a better choice than NE for that round. As far as I know those are the choices you're limited to without commissioning a large custom run.
