Nothing new for those familiar with double rifles except there is no mention of CaliRigby. Seems, to me, a significant change. I continue to admire Col. Boddington.

Also, I believe there was no mention of 9.3x64.

Yes, 9.3x64 is the Brenneke round. My one and only (ever) Hartmann & Weiss is chambered in that round. It is a rimless caliber on par with the 375 H&H...considerably more powerful than the 9.3x62 (rimless) and 9.3x74 (rimmed).

i only posed the question as this topic is in the DR forum, CB is known for writing articles on DR's and the OP mentions that nothing was mentioned about CalRigby, another DR maker, so I thought the article might be on DR's ?

Is the article on line anywhere ?

.

Or do you mean the 9,3x65R -the rimmed version of the 9,3x64?

You are correct that there was nothing new in that double rifle article but I enjoy any coverage on double rifles, and I like CB's writing, so the article was win-win for me!

I remember the old American Sportsman on ABC in the late 60's and early 70's. Before leftwing PC took hold of the airwaves you could see real hunting at it's best. I wish you could get those videos so I could show my kids and grand kids what a real hunting expidition was.CB and the DSC are the best there is now on TV.If it wasn't for them one would think the only thing hunted on the planet was Whitetails.I hunt WT every season on my place but will never get to Africa or Canada to shoot anything that can fight back. I tip my hat to CB for all his good works at bringing big game hunting into our living rooms. I wish there was more DR coverage
in the media. I picked up on the discipline when I first saw a Sabatti at Cabelas.I'm saving for my first gun now, hopefully next year.Going to wait and get what I have my heart set on instead of settling for something less at a lower price. This is fascinating stuff.
