For the past 2 years I have enjoyed attending the Southern Side by Side Spring Classic held at Deep River Sporting Clays and Shooting School. This year's event will be held April 29-May 1. Unfortunately, it appears there may not be an area to shoot double rifles. Bill Kempffer should let me know any day now. I, for one, probably will not attend if this is the case. Don't know if it will help, but you can email Bill at info@deepriver.net or call 919-774-7080. I will keep everyone posted.

That is VERY bad news indeed. I made reservations at the Quality Inn in Sanford, in early January, specifically because I was looking forward to another double rifle get-together. If it is not to be allowed I may have to reconsider my trip down!

Well Gents, one week after I sent a second email to Bill at Deep River, I have not even received the courtesy of a reply.

Hi Guys, I spoke to Bill last Thursday and he was supposed to have an answer by Friday one way or the other. Will Call him tomorrow morning.

Thanks for the update, but at this point I'm over it. Been jerked around long enough. I, and several others have cancelled plans. Too much uncertainty. I'll see you in September at the Vintagers if not before!
