Gents:
Any of you seen doubles from the UK chambered for American cartridges? We have all seen .405s in Mantons and other rifles bound for India, but how about .348 and the big (by US standards) .50-95, .50-110, .50-100-450? Others--.30-30, .32-40, .44-40, .35, etc.
Just curious of what you've seen and what's out there. I'd like an under lever exposed hammer double in .50-95 express. Only because I have the loading tool, mould, and ammo (all vintage Winchester, of course).
Thanks and cheers,
Cal

I have seen and fired two Spanish doubles of different vintages, one in .45-110 and the other in .35 Remington. They were both ejector guns and decently engraved, both with Greener crossbolts. They were PROBABLY monoblocked shotguns, but very well done, considering the .45 would sling brass about 20 feet over your shoulder.

My dad said his brother owned a WR in .405 win but both are sadly gone and I have no way of knowing what happened to my uncle's guns.

As for Eastern European fodder, I hear there are a few Ruskies to be had in .45-70 or .30-06 jumping

+1 on the 22HP
I have a Manton double in that chambering.
There is a Westley in 25/3000 at the Bass Pro in Denver and I am pretty sure I have seen a Westley in 32-40 with engravings of Black Buck on it.
