Right now I hear it is 12 - 18 months - this from people who have recently placed an order and not from Butch himself.

I suggest you contact Butch directly for an accurate estimate.

A call to the manufacturer would reveal the actual present wait time based on deposits received through today's date.

However, my wait was 9 months, and if others chime in with their wait then we can calculate an average.

Sometimes, you get two different answers. In the shooting world, I've found the makers and modifiers to be more than a tad over optimistic on their turn around and it's obvious from seeing the posts around the net that some have a track record that is substantial.

No experience with Searcy here. But, were I contemplating, I would be asking this very question in several places.
