Who has a 577 handy?

What does your action measure across the widest part of the standing breech (outside-to-outside)?

Anyone have a 577 and calipers handy?

Chris,

My VC is 2.168" across at the widest part of the standing breech and 2.12" across at the bar where it joins the standing breech.

While you have it apart, what is the distance between firing pin centers?

Any other 577s out there?

Would a measurement from a 577/500 mag. BPE be of any help?

EDIT: this is from an 1885ish Alex Henry, pins CTC .975" The face width is 2.2"
