BTW, I wouldn't expect any help from EAA, send them back to Italy. Guys, I don't own one, I'm just seeing the positives, and hoping they fix em.
BS, IMHO, the fact someone held in such regard as JJ said that says a lot to me.
And I reckon the person posting probably didn't put the full story.
"There were many here on AR who liked their Sabattis before they discovered the flaw."
And There were many here on AR who DISliked the Sabattis BEFORE the flaw was discovered
on the basis that something wasn't right and the flaw was just the final proof that
corners had been cut.

CCMDocJ.J. specifically told me via email that he:
1) would not try to re-regulate the barrels on Sabattis;
2) would be happy to do other work such as trigger, stock and recoil pad work at his usual rate.

Which is fine, as trigger, stock and recoil pad work is easy for a gunsmith. (Retocks on DR for a specialist stocker).
JJ's expertise is re regulation of DR's, the fact he won't do it says a lot IMHO.

No argument from me, just stating the facts as the man himself stated them.

LionHunterJJ Perodeau has been mis-quoted on AR more than once regarding the Sabattis, always by people who have not in fact spoken with him, nor received his permission to quote him. I have spoken with him on numerous occasions regarding the Sabattis and mine was the first he examined and worked on. I did receive his permission to post his comments.
For the record, I no longer own a Sabatti as I returned it for a refund. I am watching carefully to see what EAA does about the returned DRs. So far it doesn't look like they are correcting the problems. See my post "Sabatti Repairs - No Good!" in the Double Rifles forum.

So with no dog in this fight why throw a tizzy fit like a toddler ? It was predicted by a select few that these problems would arise and we had been told we thumbed our nose at cheap guns..

LionHunterI have restrained from personally attacking you. I would appreciate it if you'd grant me the same courtesy. I don't comment on your posts nor call you names, so how about you adopt a similar policy. I don't like you and it's clear you don't like me. I bet neither of us looses any sleep over that fact. I never recall any of the "select few" predicting the cut rifling on the Sabattis, or did I miss that one? BTW, nothing prevents you from putting me on your ignore list, except your incredible ego. You are now back on mine.

He didn't say SPECIFICALLY "any of the "select few" predicting the cut rifling on the Sabattis,"
He said "it was predicted by a select few that these problems would arise and we had been told we thumbed our nose at cheap guns."
Problems does NOT equate to "cut rifling".
To be honest, I don't think any of us doubters thought for a minute that they had used the cut rifling / cut crown method of regulation and it was a shock to me.
On another subject, the people who jumped all over us "select few" for questioning Sabatti seem to have gone very quiet, if not dissappeared totally in some cases - especially the one who was the loudest !!! LOL

LorenzoGentlemen, gentlemen....
As I don't have any other double I will be using mine a LOT. So wait a couple of years and we will exactly know if these rifles are done to last. I am not very careful with guns, I use them to hunt and not to admire them so I will be your lab rat

Meanwhile as 500N said, exchange flowers and don't be radicals, the trith is always in the middle...I think these rifles are ok for have some fun for people wannabees like me that enjoy playing with a "double".
They will NEVER be a really good double rifle for more experienced or wealthy buyers.
We are talking about 3k (in your country...in mine 8k) double rifles !!!!! Technology can't do miracles, they will ALWAYS be a "production" rifle, just looking at the philipps screws used inside de front stock (sp?) is enough.
Somewhere I read: "Sabatti's are the european Remingtons"......that's ok for me....I LOVE Remingtons
