HEYM 26B, 20ga/7x65R.

The first two toms (below) were about 45-yards (a bit too far for 3" 20ga IMO,) so they fell to the 7x65R.

Third bird came in at 25, and the Federal 3rd Degree folded him up on the spot.

Your accomplishment with a combo gun is why I made that change many years ago - to a scoped .22 Hornet over a 3 inch 12 gauge. It has saved many a hunt for me.

I am jealous. Great birds. Pass the cooking oil and cast iron skillet. We are not allowed to hunt turkeys in Kentucky with rifles. You can in Virginia. I wonder if the game warden happened to drive up, if I could convince him it was a double barreled shotgun?

Not worth the risk, but if legal I would do it.
