I will post in classified also, but it seems to me that the 45/70 double has more drop in the buttstock than did the 30/06 model. We recd. 5 guns yesterday, and have three available for those interested. Cheers, lukeswoveland@hotmail.com

I think they are just fine for what they are! They are a pretty nice looking rifle with decent wood. They are a new side by side double with big holes in the muzzle. They are NOT intended to mimick in any way the high end double rifles. The actions seem well fit, and are very tight. They are only $950.00, and they do have the warranty of Remington as a backup. Cheers, Luke

Luke now has only one to sell. I drove down to Pueblo over an ext...ended lunch hour and bought the best looking one he had. There is one left! And I think they look a heckuva lot better that the Spartan shotguns!

My only question is for under $1000 how well will it shoot at 50 or even 100 yards?

It will shoot as well as a $1000 gun can be expected Big Grin

Now all those who want cheap, cheap cheap can
jump on the net IF it doesn't shoot.

Somehow I think they might.
