Here is a group fired at 100yds with 405 grs bullets at 2000 fps. I think I need more velocity to get the barrels closer. Any one know what they shoot out of the Pedersolis at the factory? Aleko Hits count, misses don't

When I emailed them about the 9.3 they emailed me back with the information for the regulating load. You might try emailing them. ------------------------------- Some Pictures from Namibia Some Pictures from Zimbabwe An Elephant Story

I was going to fire off a bunch of regulating loads in mine yesterday. I was looking to get 405 grains at about 1700fps. 2000fps that is cranking! Mine shoots the 405 grain remingtons great(1400fps?) but wanted to work up a load with 400gr woodlieghs and they need to be 1600fps to 1800fps. I had everything set up target, bench ,loads and chrono found the lefthand sear spring broken. That put an end to that idea. Have you ever had to find any parts for yours? Dean

Aleko I think they are regulated to shoot the 300gr Winchester load. My brother had an older one for a while. It shot very good with every load we tried. We contacted the factory and they said the rifle was safe for any load that was save in one of the new Marlin Levers. This included Cor-Bon, Buffalo Bore and Garrett loads. We used IMR 3031 with 350 Hornadays and 405 Remingtons. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY

I was thinking of the mag tip 350 grs at 2100 to see. I shot some conventional .45 70 loads, just looking for a little better accuracy Aleko Hits count, misses don't

Aleko, Tony is right, they are regulated with Winchester western 300 gr factory loads. My experience is the same as Tony, and his brother. My 400 gr load is: W-W brass 400gr Speer FLT pt, seated the crimp ring nearest the nose of the bullet 56.0 grs IMR3031 LR standard CCI primers This was a load I had for use in my Ruger No1, and it regulated right where the factory stough did, with four shots under a playiing card @ 100 yds from the bags. I rechambered this rifle to 458RCBS, and it still shoots right to the regulation @ 100 yds. The load for the 458RCBS is: 480 gr Woodliegh HDS 45 basic brass shortened to 2.75" 65.0 grs IMR4064 CCI Lr standard primer ................ ....Mac >>>===(x)===> MacD37, ...and DUGABOY1 DRSS Charter member "If I die today, I've had a life well spent, for I've been to see the Elephant, and smelled the smoke of Africa!"~ME 1982 Hands of Old Elmer Keith

I ordered some N130 and 350 grs Hornaday round nose bullets. Might try 3031 too Aleko Hits count, misses don't

Aleko, there are several powders that will give you higher velocity than 3031. I used it because it was very accurate in my 308, 223 and 45/70. I used to buy it in 20lb kegs. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY
