I'm taking a couple week trip with my wife to Western Montana and Southeastern Idaho. We're already planning on visiting the Westley Richards shop in Bozeman. Are there any other fine double rifle/shotgun shops I should make a point to see? Thanks!

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Cabela's in Boise has Elmer Keith's firearm collection and a diorama.

Boise Gun Company has over 5000 firearms in stock.

Westley Richards is a must, so I'm glad it's on your list. You just missed Simon by a few weeks. Many, many Perazzis from a big collection they picked up, if you're into that. Anyway, Kevin is a truly great guy and has some very nice doubles right now, including a Westley 500/465 with some battle scars and patina. And the prices on several seem quite fair for the quality.
Haven't been to Hallowell but it sure looks good. Don't think I'll make it before the end of hunting season.
If you're near Ketchum, Silver Creek Outfitters has had some interesting stuff in the past. Not really shooting specific but I have fondled a battered old Rigby 12 there a few times. They also had some Parkers. Definitely some more skeet/trap influence though.
Moving back to MT...
If you can, drive the length of the Gravelly Mtns on your way up/down. Not much of a sidetrack and a nice drive. One end of the road starts near the Red Rock Lakes NWR and the other winds down to Hwy 287 south of Ennis.
Enjoy the trip!

Brett:
If you have the time, detour east a bit (to Montreal) and visit Shootaway. You'll learn a lot from him. Take Jim, too. Report back to me your gained knowledge.
