Sir

You say you have a London Sporting Park 450/400 3 1/4".

I do to...

So I ask, what does it say on the barrels, in regard to the loads it was regulated for, and how it is sighted???

Also if you do not mind, where did you get it??

Mine is also .408 barrels, and it is very accurate.

N E 450 No2,

My gun is regulated for 400 and 60 grains Cordite. I will have to look and see for sure what markings are on it, I forgot. I bought the gun at SCI show in Reno in 2003 or 2004. Has leaves to 400 yards. Have shot it to 200 and is dead on. I will take photos of water tables if you like. Sorry I had originally said it had sights to 500 but looked again and it is 400.

Do you know any of the history behind your gun, I have not been able to find out anything about mine. Talked with one other person that has a like gun.

I saw the pictures.
Look carefully on you barrels, see if you see the following:

On the Left barrel;
This barrel is accurate with the sights to 400 yards.

On the right barrel;

This barrel is accurate with the left to 50 yards.

What is your Webley Number, it is located on the foreend hanger"

The London Sporting Park doubles that we have were made by Webley.

Webley made some of the best, if not the best doubles ever...

NE450No2,

Well I looked and the Webley number is 13008 this number was on the forend latch lever, Is there another number somewhere? The right barrel says it is regulated for 50 yards. I can not read what the left barrel says. Gun must have been reblacked a long time ago and lettering was washed out.

Thank you, and congratulations men, on owning such "gems".

If you take a hard look in good light at you barrels you might still be able to see the following: It starts near front of the quarter rib.

On the Left Barrel:
THE SIGHTS ARE ACCURATE FOR THIS BARREL TO 400 YARDS.

On the Right Barrel:
THIS BARREL IS ACCURATE WITH THE LEFT TO 50 YARDS.

My Webley Number is 13007.

I actually shot your double several years ago in Washington State. I nearly bought it as it is the twin to mine...

My barrels are 24". My gun weighs 10.5 lbs, which includes the Murray Leather butt stock shell carrier and the 2 claw mount bases I had JJ Perodeau install.

This double has proven to be very accurate.
I have killed several armidillo, several skunks, deer, several wild pigs, a black bear, 2 caribou, warthog, zebra, baboons, helped on a giraffe, cape buff, bull elephant, and a lion.

My wife killed her cape buff with it as well.

The scope was used on the warthog, some of the baboons, the zebra, the wifes cape buff and the lion.

N E 450 No2,

Well that is very interesting! Glad you didn't buy my gun because I love it. I almost didn't buy it because of the stock being cut and added to. I looked at two 450NE's at the same time and my buddies bought those two guns. One was an Army Navy and the other a William Evans. I'm happy with my 450-400.

Sam, Please stop torturing me!

Here is a picture of YOUR rifle in the RIGHT hands! Big Grin
The line of the wood joining in the stock is visible.
