.577-500 no2 brass needed
As in the classifieds, I need some .577-500 no2 brass, new or fired, boxer primed, for an outstanding double I just purchased. NOT the 3 1/8" magnum .577-500. I will post pics soon.
Thanks,
Cal

Thanks, gents.
The Champlin 8 is an amazing rifle.
Rob: I will be at China Lights Saturday at 11:30 am. I will call you and the brass would be appreciated. I have dies on the way from CH.

I have pics taken and will post Friday or the weekend. You all will enjoy this rifle.

Yesterday I got brass and dies from Rob Seymour but no shell holder. I doubt I have one but will check today. A mate who bought my 8-bore Jeffery and .500 Holland Royal bpe is coming up to reload and shoot. I will fire up the stove in the shooting shed and will fire the new rifle if I can find a shell holder.

Cal, you only really need the shell holder for priming but there is a work around on that.

If you resize your brass before loading, you can simply set the case on any old shell holder and tap the case out of the die with a 1/2" dowel and mallet.
BEFORE you tap out the case, use a ram from a Lee bullet sizer (the bigger the better) to seat the primer in the case.

I will work on this and know alternative methods, but I'd rather have a shell holder. One is on order now.
Thanks,
Cal
